The Argentine Ministry of Defense, led by Minister Jorge Taiana, reports that the Argentine Aircraft Factory “Brig. San Martin” S.A. (FAdeA) has signed a declaration of interest for the sale of the IA-100 “Malvina” training aircraft to the Paraguayan Air Force (FAP). It is the first time that the company has entered into such a commitment with a foreign armed force.
The IA-100 is a basic military training aircraft, whose prototype began to be manufactured at FAdeA with a high participation of national suppliers.
The signing of the declaration of interest – initialed last Tuesday at the headquarters of the FAP headquarters – was carried out by the commander of the FAP, General Arturo Javier González Ocampo, and the vice president and general manager of FAdeA, Franco Giuggioloni. This agreement was also the result of the close collaboration of the Argentine aeronautical company with the Argentine Defense Attaché Office in Paraguay chaired by Colonel Jorge Mariano López Stanic and the Argentine Embassy in that country headed by Ambassador Oscar Peppo.
